Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

1. Refer to: Steering Column Shrouds (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Refer to: Steering Wheel (211-04 Steering Column, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Torque : 2.5 Nm

1. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.
   Torque : 25 Nm

1. NOTE: Power adjustable steering column shown, manual adjustable steering column similar.

1. NOTE: The deployable steering column electrical connector retaining tabs are not easily accessible. Using an inspection mirror and needle-nose pliers may help in viewing and releasing the electrical connector retaining tabs.

1. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.
   Torque : 25 Nm

Installation

1. NOTE: Transfer parts as needed.

   To install, reverse the removal procedure.
