Transmission Range Control Module (TRCM)

Removal

  1. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

  1. NOTE: When replacing the TRCM , it is necessary to initiate "Default to Park".

    1. Remove the RH side fender splash shield.
      Refer to: Fender Splash Shield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
    1. Turn key on, engine off.
    1. Open driver's door and leave open.
    1. Shift the vehicle to R by pressing the R on the GSM .

    1. NOTE: Release the locking tab on the TRCM eclectrical connector before disconnecting.

      Disconnect the TRCM and wait approximately 5 seconds until "Default to Park" initiates.
    1. Turn key off and close driver's door.

Installation

  1. Torque : 15 Nm
  1. Torque : 7 Nm

  1. NOTE: Install the RH side fender splash shield.

    Refer to: Fender Splash Shield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
