Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

1. Shield (center) motor.
   Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Motor (501-17A Roof Opening Panel - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Shield (501-17A Roof Opening Panel - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
   

1. NOTE: The header panel does not need repair after service.

   Both sides.
   

1. NOTE: All drive and return cable housings must be repositioned in the original positions during installation.

   Both sides. Mark all cable housing tubes with clip/retainer locations and transfer to new cable housings for proper installation.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
