Roof Opening Panel Anti-Pinch Switch

Removal

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

1. Refer to: Parcel Shelf (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Mark the location of all tape and clip positions for installation.
   

Installation

1. 1. Starting at this point, position and press outward to seat.
      
   2. Remove seal tape and starting at this point, apply pressure to secure the seal to the frame.
      

1. NOTE: Read both sub steps so they can be performed together.

   1. Use the global close feature to close the roof opening panel. Global close is not available if the initialization has been lost. If global close does not operate the roof opening panel may need to be initialized, or the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch may be kinked or shorted.

   2. Press down on the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch as it travels closed during global close. If the roof opening panel reverses direction during global close, the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch is functional and properly installed.
