Panoramic Roof Opening Panel Trim

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: This procedure can be used for all locations of the component.

  1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

    Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).

  1. NOTE: The roof opening panel glass must be open to service the front trim panel and must be closed to service the side trim panel.

    NOTE: Front trim panel shown (includes seal), rear trim panel similar (without seal).

    1. Firmly grasp trim and pull outward.
    1. Lift outside edge of trim.
    1. Roll inside edge of trim back and up.
    1. Front only, if necessary remove seal portion of trim from vehicle.

  1. NOTE: The side trim panel only has 5 clips.

    Torque : 4 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. NOTE: Side trim panels do not have a seal.

    For front trim panel only, after trim installation, remove tape from bottom of seal and apply pressure around the seal area to secure to the frame.
