Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

1. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, General Procedures).
   

1. NOTE: Make sure all openings are sealed.

   Torque : 15 Nm

1. On both sides.
   Refer to: Front Door (501-03 Body Closures, Removal and Installation).
   

1. NOTE: Any time the parking brake switch electrical connector has been disconnected, the EPB system is deactivated and a DTC is stored in the ABS module. Perform the following step to restore the EPB system and clear the ABS module DTC .

   Apply and release the parking brake twice, pausing with the switch in the NEUTRAL (AT REST) position between apply and release.
   Torque : 2.5 Nm

1. On both sides.

1. NOTICE: Make sure that the clockspring rotor does not rotate.

   Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.
   

1. Torque : 25 Nm

1. Torque : 2.5 Nm

1. Torque : 15 Nm

1. Torque : 15 Nm

1. Torque : 8 Nm

1. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Torque : 25 Nm

1. On both sides.
   

1. On both sides.
   Torque : 35 Nm

1. NOTE: Make sure not to damage the instrument panel when removing the instrument panel from the vehicle.

   NOTE: Make sure that all electrical connectors and wiring are not hindered before removing the instrument panel or damage to the components may occur.

   Torque : 22.5 Nm

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
