Front Lifter Arm

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Both glass motors.
    Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Motor (501-17A Roof Opening Panel - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
  1. Both sides.
    Refer to: A-Pillar Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

  1. NOTE: The headliner only needs to be lowered for access. All retainers including the rear with guide pins are magnets.

  1. NOTE: If using original threaded retainers, clean the thread locking adhesive from threads, then apply new thread locking adhesive.

    Material : Threadlock 262 / TA-26 (WSK-M2G351-A6)
    Torque : 2.5 Nm
  1. NOTE: Air deflector may need to be held down in the closed position.

    Air deflector removed for clarity.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. NOTE: The ribs on the shoe (see inset) must be on the bottom to slide properly in the frame channel.

    NOTE: Air deflector may need to be held down in the closed position.

  1. NOTE: The lifter arms on both sides must be fully foreword and down into the cam for proper timing of the drive cables.
