Roof Opening Panel Operating Cable and Guide

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

   Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
   

1. Both sides.
   Refer to: Front Lifter Arm (501-17A Roof Opening Panel - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Both roof opening panel motors.
   Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Motor (501-17A Roof Opening Panel - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Refer to: Headliner (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. NOTE: The header panel does not need repair after service.

   NOTE: If using original threaded retainers, clean the thread locking adhesive from threads, then apply new thread locking adhesive.

   Both sides.
   Material : Threadlock 262 / TA-26 (WSK-M2G351-A6)
   Torque : 2.5 Nm

1. NOTE: All drive and return tubes must be repositioned in the original positions during installation.

   Mark all cable housing tubes with clip/retainer locations and transfer to new cable housings for proper installation.
   

1. NOTE: Header panel removed for clarity.

   Both sides.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
